Blessed Beginnings

My home is in Wisconsin Dells, and I am available to attend births at the local hospitals in Baraboo and Reedsburg; I can also attend births in the Madison hospitals and in homes within a 60 mile radius of my own.

I am very passionate about birth and am dedicated to empowering women and families to have the birth experience they desire. I believe all babies have the right to enter the world without unnecessary interventions and that mothers/couples deserve to know all the options before making decisions about the birth of their child. My job is to support the birthing family in whatever choices they have made and to empower them to advocate for themselves should the need arise. I provide continuous emotional and physical support to the laboring mother as well as prenatal education.

Services / Skills

I am currently working on my certification as a childbirth educator and can provide information on the stages of labor as well as coping techniques. I have a small lending library, assist with creating a birth plan, provide labor support both at home and in the hospital, and can speak Spanish.

Education

B.A.(psychology) UW-Madison; Bradley childbirth classes, DONA basic doula training; years of self study of pregnancy and childbirth.

Experience

Birth doula, mother of one.

Births attended

Self, one; as Doula, two.
